This restaurant allowed us to wait 1 1/2 hours and still no food. At 2:45 pm and few people in the restaurant. The music was loud, we asked for it to be turned down which it was until the manager overrode the waitress and cranked it back up. When we talked to him he informed us that he did not cater to individual tables. Regarding the delay in food delivery, he informed us that he was busy with inventory. Ive rarely met anyone so rude. I told him Id post my sentiments on social media and he informed us he didnt care. Rare behaviour for someone in the service industry. Can Recommend the place.
Return customer to the Haywire! Fantastic rustic restaurant; Serving sizes are Very large and Delicious! Fish and Chips is amazing!!Personable customer service which is very nice. Well be coming back again for sure! Well worth the one hour drive!
Me: "I'll take the fish and chips, but can I substitute the chips for a salad?"Them: "No"(though you could order it extra as another plate)Me: "I guess we'll sit inside instead of outside"Them: "Good, you'll get better service"Them: "Can you move your third person to the other side of the table? It's hard for me to get through here" (the chairs were set up that way by the restaurant in the first place)As you can see from the above examples, this restaurant is pretty odd - things aren't supposed to work this way. As for the food, fish was mushy, though the fries were well seasoned (if mushy). Chicken sandwich was fairly good. Prices a bit high, though not awful.
We came here based on Google reviews but they may have been having an off night. The couple next to us left after 10 minutes and not receiving any attention. The fries were good, the sauteed mushrooms were canned, service was definitely not prompt. We will try somewhere else next time.
Very pleasant home like setting. Friendly staff. Very good food for value. Had the HW burger, fish and chips and the lava chocolate cake.
